Poem 1: Saturday

Poem 1: Saturday

The weight of nothing over my head, Brings me peace and joy instead, No stress or anxiety to chase me down, No little imps to push me around.

They follow me during the week, Their presence makes me feel weak, But I fight back with all my might, With meditation, reading, and insight.

And finally, Saturday has arrived, A day to breathe and feel alive, To take a break and just be still, To let my mind and body refill.

It’s a good day to be chill, To let go and not overthink or feel, To savor every moment and be present, And let my worries be absent.

So I embrace this peaceful state, And let myself appreciate, The freedom from stress and anxiety, And the simple joys of being happy.
